The service aims to ensure that clients and their families are involved in the planning and delivery process.
NEIRS provides several respite services in Griffith and surrounding areas. These services are flexible and innovative and provide carers with a wide range of options to afford them a break from their 24/7 care roles. Respite can be provided in the persons home or center based at NEIRS Respite House depending on each carer's individual need. Respite is provided to all ages, from birth to the elderly.
NEI purchased a specially modified house in East Griffith to provide centre based respite to families. The house has four bedrooms, a modified bathroom and is staffed by experienced Community Support Workers 24 hours a day.
